Private jets can use more than 3,000 European airports, whereas airlines only have access to 300 airports. So, which airports are the busiest?
Europe’s top 20 private airports are listed below, as well as the number of flight movements in the previous year, that is, landing and taking off of private jets.
The figures are calculated from May in 2012 to April in 2013 in order to paint a whole year’s image using current information that is updated. Geneva Cointrin is ranked second and the route popular for private flights from Paris to Geneva, on a yearly basis.
Nice Cote D’Azur falls at number three and lies in the top 10 month rating of airports, with soaring flights in the summer. However, the Cannes Mandelieu is ranked position 12 in the top 20 airports. Actually, these two airports are popular from May to August, every year.
